Collective Bargaining Begins with You!

Dear Member,

The Registered Nurses’ Union Provincial Collective Agreement expires on June 30, 2026. We are gearing up for the next round of collective bargaining that will happen early 2026, and we’re excited to hear from you!

Collective bargaining is the cornerstone of how we protect your rights, value your work, and secure agreements that reflect your priorities.

How Collective Bargaining Works

Here’s a high-level overview of the process:

  1. Planning: Your input shapes the strategy.
  2. Meetings: Proposals are exchanged between the RNU and the Employer.
  3. Bargaining: Negotiations continue until we reach a tentative agreement.
  4. Decision Time: Members vote on the proposed agreement.

We’re at the planning stage right now, and this is where your voice matters most. Think about what you would like to see in the next collective agreement—whether it’s improved working conditions, benefits, or other key issues.

Share Your Thoughts

Start brainstorming your priorities and ideas. Your input will help shape the proposals we bring to the bargaining table. Please email your priorities and proposals to us at negotiations@rnunl.ca.

Stay tuned for updates on how you can contribute to this process and track our progress. Together, we can build an agreement that works for all RNs and NPs.
