Dear Members,

Today the province announced 11 new presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 35. This is an unprecedented time. While most of our province stays home, you stand guard.

I know with every update, your worry increases. You are leaving stressful situations at home. You’re worried about your health, about keeping your loved ones safe.  You have childcare to find and mortgages to pay.

It’s a lot to think about and it can quickly become overwhelming – please take the time to breathe and take care of yourself.

More and more, residents from across our province are reaching out to show their support of health care workers. They know the risks you take to keep them safe.

Our province is taking public health seriously. Every day, new measures are announced to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

RNU’s job is to do everything we can to keep you safe. We’re preparing our latest update for members on work we are doing to advocate for personal protective equipment, child care and more.

We encourage you to stay connected with RNU. Visit our website and social channels. Reach out to your Labour Relations Officer, Board Members and Branch Representatives.

We are #StrongerTogether.

In solidarity

Debbie
