Unions play an important role in society. They stand up for fair wages, safe workplaces and decent work hours, but they also do a whole lot to give back to the communities where they operate.

RNU holds this mandate close to heart. Over the last couple months, we have made several donations, including:

• $25,000 to renovate the Canadian Cancer Society Practical Resource Room
• $1,000 to the Gathering Place
• $1,000 to CBC Feed NL Day
• $5,000 to Kids Eat Smart
• RNU and staff sponsor a family at Christmas

Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering time, or helping a neighbour, RNU and registered nurses are giving back and making real change in our communities. Spread the giving this season and please do what you can for those in need. Merry Christmas!
